J.J. is a multi-instrumental artist, songwriter, and educator in Brooklyn, NY. J.J. has more than 14 years of experience in his field. Native to NYC, J.J. was inspired by the local music scenes of rock, punk, blues, jazz, and pop.
After attending Berklee College of Music, J.J. dived into teaching and performing in his hometown. He has performed at many well-renowned venues, such as Carnegie Hall, Café Wha?, House of Blues Boston, and the Groove. Between shows and lessons, he writes original music with other artists. He often crosses genres, playing punk drums in Archer Violet to pop R&B guitar with Devin Dressman. J.J. draws inspiration from John Mayer, Stevie Wonder, Gary Clark Jr, Jarle Bernhoft, Sting, The Killers, Maxwell, and Michael Kiwanuka to name a few.
